Hello my name is Sarah Becher. I am owner/ massage therapist at Peaceful Healing Therapeutic Massage.
I graduated in 2009 from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD with my Bachelor degree in Wellness Management. After that I thought I wanted to do more to help people so I went to Massage Therapy school in Hot Springs, SD, at the Springs Bath House School of Massage Therapy. I started Peaceful Healing Therapeutic Massage in September 2010. It has been a process to get to where I am at, which is a reward for me. I have not only changed peoples lives in my business, but have also changed my own. Each client teaches me something new every day, at the same time I am teaching them about the whole concept of massage.
I decided that a therapeutic based massage business was better for me because it ties in with my Wellness Management degree and helps people in a different way. I see a lot of people who have had serious injuries or surgeries, people looking to better themselves in a wellness aspect. I do also do a relaxing massage to help you get away from life in general and time to yourself. The focus of each massage is different for each client and the time. So I work with each individual person to figure out what your needs are for that massage and how I can address your issues to make you feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally.
I have gotten training in deep tissue massage, swedish massage, cupping massage, pre-natal massage, medical massage, thermal palms massage, aromatherapy massage, and reflexology. I incorporate these skills into my day-to-day massages.

Swedish massage is a full body relaxation massage. It consists of 5 different strokes which include gliding, kneading, tapping, friction, and vibration. It is the most common massage known. It does help increase circulation, decrease pain and joint stiffness.
Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscles. It focuses on the muscles located deep with inside the body. Deep tissue massage is usually recommended for athletes, people in consistent pain, and ones you have sustained physical injury. Deep tissue massage usually works a specific muscle group that the client is having pain in or trouble with.
